La Betulla - SASSELLO

La Betulla is an agriturismo in the tiny hamlet of Veirera, near Sassello in Liguria. It offers wholesome quantities of excellent home cooked food of whatever is in season. Wooden platters of antipasti are followed by delicious primi (try the ravioli con salvia). Secondis we tried (on two visits) include wild mushrooms fried in breadcrumbs, stews of wild boar (cinghiale) or hen, and pork wrapped in cabbage. Local wines are excellent and the limited wine list is simply part of the deal. When we have been, we paid a standard price per head (including drinks) of €25. This is what eating is about.
