Bidrage med feedbackNino 's was disappointing given how many people we see sitting outside during summer. The restaurant failed at cleanliness, service, and food. We asked our waitress to wipe down the dirty table and she did with very little effort or attention. Next, I asked what beers they have, and she responded, is that a trick question? Are you old enough to drink? We have lots of beers, we are a restaurant! Needless to say we were not off to a good start. The food was unimpressive; the Greek salad was poorly chopped, had a big giant hair, and olives that still had their stems. The 'cajun chicken Caesar ' came with plain chicken lightly dusted with cayenne, and the gyro was forgettable. Oh, and the salad dressings come in Kraft single servings. After that, it was $80 for two crappy salads, three beers, and a plain gyro.
Tried this place with my husband, I had the spicy shrimp fettuccine, which was pretty good. My husband had chicken souvlaki, that was alright. The food was ok but after two beers and dinner it added up to be an $80 meal. Pretty pricey. All this place has is the great patio right on Broadway avenue.
One of those restaurants that serves every single type of food on the planet. No identity! Greek salad was mediocre. The waitress, however, was absolutely fantastic. So attentive.
I will preface this with the fact that it was 10 pm in Saskatoon and my only other option in the entire city was Subway. Anyways, I wanted something good to eat, so I ordered chicken souvlaki. it 's meat on a stick, how could you go wrong? said my lovely waitress. Sadly, not only was the chicken wrong, but the whole thing was wrong. I have neer experienced something that is way too salty and spiced, yet still had such little taste. I paid the extra 3.50 to get greek salad. I 'm not sure what the regular salad was, but what I got was entire vegetables quartered with very little as far as lettuce or flavour (not in season? . I guess this is supposed to be authentic Greek salad? My meal also came with a stuffed potato, which means it was whipped with bacon and covered with a cheese helmet. most of the potato (that wasn 't whipped so dense, I couldn 't scrape it off the football like resemblance the skin maintained. The veggies were way over boiled, under seasoned and definitely canned or frozen beans and carrots. Tatziki sauce was ok, but took up way too much salad space. Damn...26 bucks for this? I can actually get an inventive, delicious, and filling meal that doesn 't smell like cigarettes and detergent back in Toronto for half that price. If the Waitress didn 't give me a free coke while I waited, I might have taken it back (plus they are probably closed by now I will rarely do this, but...go eat at Subway instead.
