The staff at the restaurant were disrespectful towards a mother and her young children who had to take a seat. I don't believe in always having to be polite. The behavior of the female employee was rude. There are also concerns about the way you treat your workers as fellow humans.
The food was really good and my experience was very good. Unfortunately, when I wanted to pay for my meal, I asked the lady if she's ready to give me a 10% discount as it was my birthday. She gave me a disgusting hook and threw my card on me as soon as she verified that I was eligible for a 10% discount. The rest of the staff was nice excpet for this one lady. Very disappointed.
I had come here with my friend not too long ago to get a quick meal before an event. The fast part was the most ironic part of it. That was our first time, and we will never come back. As soon as our original server sat down and "explained" how the ordering system worked, I believe that it has left because of its stratification and we have not received a new server to take care of us afterwards. We used the ipad ordering system and ordered three sushi rolls. After an hour we have only one role. We used the help button to ask where the rest of our order was and no one came. Then we decided to use the "Request Bill" option and no one came to give us that. When I told the manager (I believe) about our experience, she told me that none of these buttons actually work and it's our fault that we were not served by the staff because we didn't call for one. Although this was our first experience here and had no idea what works and what not. I will never eat here again, the lack of customer service and ignorance I received as a new customer was appalling.
My Filipino fiancé and I, both Canadian, absolutely adore this restaurant. The food is delicious, and after a visit or two, you become familiar with the process. The staff is friendly, but they mainly just hand you a tablet and ask if you know how to use it. Once you do, they leave you to enjoy your meal, only checking in to bring more food. It's a unique experience since there is no traditional ordering process - everything is done through the tablet, which is actually pretty cool. And let's talk about the sushi - it's amazing! There are so many options to choose from, and the added bonus of a buffet if you're in the mood for something other than sushi. Highly recommended!
