Auberge Saint Walfrid - Sarreguemines

We had no idea what would expect us in the “Auberge Saint Walfrid”. The agreement we had booked was particularly attractive due to the price and since the restaurant had a Michelin star and 15.5 Gault Millau points, I was sure it would be okay. In the end, I was still surprised by the classic but nevertheless very harmonious and somehow timeless cuisine. Immigrant craftsmanship is natural here and the ingredients are of very good quality. All right, the truffle didn't rip me off the chair, but it doesn't matter. With the lobster salad, the stone butter and the pigeon the kitchen has hit my taste 100%. The atmosphere in the restaurant is relatively omitted. Individual couples feel comfortable here as a family society and as a group of younger connoisseurs. The share of regular guests received by the service is high. Despite the somewhat remote location, the "Auberge Saint Walfrid" is obviously one of the first addresses in the region and also for us a discovery. So not excluded again.

Yesterday we stayed for the first time in the Star-Restaurant Auberge St Walfrid in Saargemünd (France). The restaurant is located directly on the Franco-German border of Saarbrücken in 15 minutes. A way forward: The restaurant is inside, like outside, exceptionally beautiful. For me the highlight of recent years. A true piece of jewellery and thus a visit value. During dinner we chose the small menu that was also used as an eye, as well as a pale mouse. The dishes were all perfectly cooked, lubricated and presented. Especially enjoyed main dinner and dessert. And because the service is still great, I really can only recommend this restaurant. If you are looking for a special culinary experience in a beautiful ambience as you are right at the Auberge St Walfrid. Everything's here, Chapeau! I had the opportunity to participate in the Saint Walfrid friends' evening this Friday. We had the privilege of enjoying a range of fine and delicate dishes, all elegantly accompanied by exceptional wines. An irreproachable service. Anyway, I hope Chief Schneider will renew this year.
