Bidrage med feedbackThe food was good. You have a children's menu (kudos to the mac'n'cheese). Their speciality seems to be burgers who were all good. The French moo tasted super, although the lower bungalow was soggy (real? At a Burgerplatz? You have 7 tables outside, on the street. It will drive loud, especially with all motorcycles nearby. Server was attentive and not intrusive.
Had the steak salad. That was the second time I ordered it. The steak was consistently perfectly executed. The steak was very juicy and tasteful. It surpassed my expectations of a burger joint and definitely better than some high-end steak houses I was. The pineapple cider was also delicious, so very refreshing.
In the heart of downtown Saratoga, the Big Basin Burger Bar has been the first to open since 2015. As the name says, Big Basin Burger Bar offers a variety of signature burgers along with rice bowls and salads for anyone looking for something else. They offer an impressive variety of proteins on their menu, including bison, the impossible burger, and a vegan option, so there is really something for everyone! We arrived in the late afternoon on a Monday, with many seating options to choose from (both inside and outside), we chose to sit outside to enjoy the summer day. We went with the French Moo Burger and the BLT Gobble Club. Well, what Burgermahl is completely without pommes, so of course we had to get some. I was torn between her regular frits and her sweet potato fries (a personal favorite of me), but fortunately they offer half an option to both get so I don't choose. The French moo burger was an instant favorite with the symphony of flavors given by the unique combination of creamy brie cheese, pfefferic arugula and salty pancetta. While enjoying the BLT Gobble Club overall, I found the Patty to be a bit dry (but fair is turkey). In the future, I will probably go with one of their proven and real Burger option instead of this sandwich. If you are in the Saratoga area and are looking for a great burger place, Big Basin Burger Bar is probably the one for you!
Came here after a rigorous hike, was in the mood for something very filling and greasy and this was the perfect choice. All their burgers look amazing, but decided on Wild Thing because I love bison and gruyere! We also got some garlic parmesan fries and onion rings to share at the table. Even at the lunch rush hour, our food came out in reasonable amount of time. The appetizers were very good! We were glad to have ordered 3 appetizers though, even though they said 1 could be shared by 3 people (we were a group of 6). They may have underestimated the hunger from hiking for 3 hours! The burgers came out quickly too, and it was so good! There is a lot going on but all the flavors and textures worked with each other. I was very satisfied. Not usually in this area, but will definitely return when I 'm back!
Best burgers! We love the build your own burger option, you get exactly what you want and can customize your burger every time. The Bacon Deviled eggs were delicious and the truffle fries were awesome. This is a bar as well, with a great rotating variety of beer and cider selections. They have indoor as well as outdoor seating, they have added a small curbside patio in the back parking lot. The service here is also really great, they bring you water when you sit down and deliver all your food and drinks right to your table,so you can sit back and relax.
