Poppo's Taqueria - Sarasota

I was visiting the Sarasota area over the weekend and ran into this delightful Taqueria. The food was fresh and tasty, corn tortillas are pressed and grilled right in front of you, and they make chips that are to die for! Absolutely recommend.

The quesadillas are awesome! Poppo's has a great and flavorful selection of toppings and they also have beer available. The prices are pretty reasonable, though I think it's a bit much to charge 50 cents extra for sour cream and $2.50 for guac. Overall a great place for a quick lunch. I highly recommend.

We first discovered Poppos at UTC about six months ago, and when we learned that a location was closer to us, we were thrilled! The restaurant’s design and atmosphere are spacious and comfortable. The outdoor dining experience is excellent. The staff is friendly, and as expected, the food is truly exceptional!

Wow! We were happily surprised by how wonderful this place was. It's definitely the best value on Main Street. We ordered a large bowl and a freshly made queen, both of which were delicious. They were perfectly tailored to our tastes, making them even better. We can't wait to return for more of this amazing food!

I'm currently at the restaurant, and I can't help but notice that the same song is playing here that I woke up to this morning. It adds a touch of serendipity to my burrito dish!
