Lazy Lobster - Sarasota

This location is now Kacey's Seafood, which also has branches on Fruitville Road and Longboat Key. This was my first visit to one of their locations, and it was undoubtedly one of the best seafood meals I've had in Sarasota. The clam strips were absolutely outstanding—without a doubt the best I've ever had—and the portion size was huge! The basket included hush puppies, fries, and coleslaw. I ended up taking half of my lunch home, which made for a delicious dinner as well. The staff was incredibly friendly, from the host to the waitress, the busboy, and the owner/managers; it truly felt like I was receiving VIP treatment. I'm eagerly looking forward to my next visit so I can sample their shrimp and other seafood dishes, although it might be hard to resist those amazing clam strips!

Absolutely amazing! The food was exceptional—fresh and delicious. Our waitress provided excellent service as well. We enjoyed lobster tails, stuffed shrimp, and a lobster appetizer with garlic butter and Swiss cheese, along with a spinach salad. The sides were fantastic too. I rated it a 5 because, as a food critic who has dined at many restaurants in Sarasota, I believe this place deserves more than a 4. Thank you!

This restaurant is fantastic! The outdoor setting is charming, and the food was absolutely delicious—everyone in our group of six enjoyed their meals. Our server was incredibly attentive, demonstrated a thorough knowledge of the menu, and offered excellent recommendations. Overall, we had a wonderful experience.

Excellent service and food! Twins lobster tails for $36 were delicious. The mussels in spicy red sauce were spectacular!
