Acropolis Greek Taverna-sarasota

The restaurant was too loud, and we had a long wait. The so-called belly dancer resembled more of a stripper, as she danced around our table, swinging her long hair everywhere. Honestly, I couldn't help but worry that her hair might end up in my food. I would not recommend this place.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. When I called for our server to order drinks, they didn't make them as requested, and I had to send them back. Additionally, they were unclear on how to apply credit for my visit. I don't think I'll be returning.

The restaurant is experiencing a staff shortage, leading to chaotic service and poorly prepared food. The quality of the pork was not what I expected. However, the Makedonikos white wine was excellent!

Great food, terrific drink and friendly and engaging wait staff. I will go back!

Tabouleh tasted disgusting, no one at the table could even handle more than the first taste. When I told the waitress I couldn’t take another sip of my wine because it tasted so badly, she said she had heard that before. Happily exchanged it, but why keep serving such disgusting wine. Too many other great choices around University, no need to ever go back.
