Wintzell's Oyster House - Saraland

This restaurant is an excellent spot for traditional southern gulf seafood. The atmosphere is perfect for dates, casual meals, or catching popular sports events. The service and staff are consistently outstanding. I highly recommend it!

Food was Great as always.I like the way the cook comes around to every table to make sure all is good.I will be back Wednesday night to get the J O Platter.I can't wait.

I enjoyed the shrimp, and the gumbo was decent, but I wasn't fond of the catfish. I visited two locations in the Mobile area, and I prefer my catfish to be firm and flaky. Unfortunately, this just didn't meet my expectations.

This is a Family favorite. I am a Soldier and always eat there when I go home. I love the gumbo.

Wintzell's Oyster House is easily accessible from Interstate 65 and is truly a culinary treasure worth visiting. The fried okra, crispy and delicious, set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. The seafood pasta, featuring beautiful scallops and an abundance of shrimp, was a standout dish. The pasta was cooked to perfection, complemented by a rich Alfredo sauce that made it unforgettable. The red beans and rice, enhanced with blackened chicken and Conecuh sausage, struck all the right chords. For dessert, the bread pudding was simply exceptional—a perfect way to wrap up a wonderful meal. A special mention goes to our server, who contributed to the overall positive experience, and dining on the patio with our dog, Spike, made it even more enjoyable. Wintzell's not only excels in their food but also in creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. It's a must-visit for anyone seeking delicious Southern cuisine.
