Fitz's Soco - Sappington

The menu was large, the food was excellent and service was outstanding! Very big, roomy place with root beer that is just great!

Atmosphere and service are great. Food is just ok. I do not recommend the bbq platter. Bbq sauce is really weird and didn't taste very good. I appreciate them trying to make a sauce with their rootbeer, but it just tasted weird and wasn't very good. Also the turkey with the platter looked more like spam than turkey breast. The consistency was super strange. Fried pickles and gumbo were decent! I've had both of these items before and have always liked them. Unique variety of floats! Definately recommend dessert, especially their one of a kind floats. Tasty! Although I didn't have a positive experience with the food I still look forward to coming back and trying a different dish or getting a float.

Such a fun place to have a float or something freshly prepared to eat. The menu has a good selection of pub food. The salads are fresh and plentiful with ingredients and the dressing superb. I have never been to any restaurant that had a more rude hostess. My son chooses Fitz's as his birthday restaurant every year. We enjoy going there. This year however we were definitely disappointed and almost walked out to go somewhere else. Had this not been a birthday treat for my son we would not have stayed. We walked in and were not greeted. The person at the hostess stand literally looked at us without saying a word. I told her how many in our party. She grabbed menus and started walking. Again not saying follow me or anything. She threw the menus down in a heap and walked away. Your hostess is so important. They set the mood for the entire dining experience. Eating out has become so expensive that you need to be choosy where you spend your money. I will guarantee you are losing money by continuing to employ someone who is sabotaging your restaurant. Even if people stay, they are immediately in a bad mood. You are doing a disservice to all of your wait staff who have to go above and beyond to overcome the inital seating situation. Thankfully our server was amazing. Management needs to do better. Do more training. Pay more attention. Come around and check on guests. You are in the service business and the service of your hostess was incredibly poor. I'm not sure we will be back. There are too many options for good food and good atmosphere.

Very good food. Great wait staff. We had 6 people meet for lunch on a Wednesday. Everyone at the table was very pleased with both the food and the service. Would definitely recommend.
