La Cania - Santander

Seems to have various areas to eat in a restaurant at the back, a more casual bar area and outside. I ordered the octopus, and although it was very tasty, at €22 it was a complete rip off. More the size of a tapas than a main course. Fortunately our other main course was massive (no logic at all.... so we coped. I wish all the people whining about no English menus would realise you can get a Translate App on your phone ........

A nice spot for breakfast, we got the scrambled eggs on toast. Simple and reasonably priced. Wouldnt set the world alight.

After a disastrous meal around the corner, we went to La Cania to try to remove the memory and residual taste of the meal we had at the previous restaurant. After a rather long wait to be seated (I believe this is somewhat normal in Spain though), the food was absolutely delicious, in particular the clams and the cheesecake, which really was to die for. We ended up eating here a few more times during our stay and would highly recommend it.
