Casa Goria - Santander

The waiter was in a terrible mood, he was simply unpleasant. We asked how the tuna filet was prepared and he said it’s a regular tuna steak on the grill. We never thought it was possible but this was literally the worst serving of fish I’ve had, tasted and seen in my life. Grotesquely presented the steak was a center cut with all the bones (thick) in it along with spines and skin on. It had what appeared to be thick sea salt flakes dumped on top. Some parts were very “fishy” tasting. Parts of it were over cooked and others were rare. Very inedible. They also serve the worst “cachopo”. Uncooked in the inside. Not only enduring the food was painful, but to top it off with rude server... this was a very unpleasant welcome to Santander. Fortunately the next morning we had a great meal. I advise you avoid this place. I don’t have pictures of the tuna steak. We were just in shock of how awful it was. We told the waiter and he didn’t do anything to resolve the problem.

The food is delicious and quite cheap. The waiter is a very nice man, although he does not speak English, he has done his best to help us with the ordering. My impression is very positive and I recommend this place. Keep in mind that the menu is in Spanish, so be prepared to use Google if you do not speak Spanish.

Es un lugar muy fresco con personal agradable y profesional. El único pero es la pequeña parte del comedor. Soy asiduo.

Acabamos de tener el menú del día, rico, calidad de precio y exquisito tratamiento. pequeño pero muy acogedor lugar. Repito sin dudarlo.

Desde el exterior no te invita a entrar, el camarero del bar no invita mucho, pero ya en el comedor muy diferente. amable, servir rápido, menú 10€ muy rico, cocina casera. Advertencia: si pides otro vino te cargan aparte. altamente recomendado.
