Bidrage med feedbackJust getting there is ravishing. The hillsides, the town of Sant'Agata. The restaurant itself was excellent. We had an all-in-one lunch. Maybe that is their practice. It was a Saturday. We did not see a menu. We didn't need to. All total, 3-4 antipasti, a primo, a secondo, dolce, water and wine, 35 euro per person. Good value. What tables. I mean the tables hewn by the owner. This place was a find. I would definitely go back.
We were visiting Sant' Agata for the white truffle fest in town. We rented a lovely country house called La Busca. Antenna dal Morino is on the way from town to the house so we took a chance and stopped for lunch. We were met by a very nice guy who sat us at a huge, old table near the kitchen. He brought us a lovely house red wine that was excellent and robust. Then he fed us! We ordered nothing but were fed some of most wonderful, local fare with white truffles, truffles, truffles!!! This is a family run business and every dish was better than the last. We fell so in love with the food, wine and people that we went back again the next night for dinner. We loved the town and surrounding area and the Truffle fest was great and the people of the town were also wonderful...but we would go out of our way to eat at this MOST excellent restaurant again. Well worth any drive out of your way or a great excuse to visit the lovely town!
From the minute you arris ve, your senses will be delighted. Nestled on a lushly wooded hillside, this restaurant rivals the finest in the world. Situated in the picturesque countryside of Italy in Saint Agata Felitria, not far from San Morino, it is easily located on Google Maps. Parking is easy and dining can be enjoyed inside or outside. Tables are hewn from thick natural tree planks and coved with fine linins with delicate stitching. The interior rooms relflect the origninal nature of the home with clean white Mediterrean design. This incredible backdrop serves as a wonderful setting for the star of the experience: the food. Each selection of wine and food is a pure delight. Locally grown, fresh ingredients make each bite a gourmet fantasy. The staff and owners are family members whose cullinary and serving skills rival any 5-star restaurant in the world. The kitchen is run like a finely tuned machine as each course is expertly served by the quick and courteous wait staff. One after another, courses were served that featured the freshest and finest of local ingredients. Our hosts took care of every decision and we did not have to worry about interpreting Italian menus. Each course was a visual and taste sensation. The meal culminateed in a domesticated game bird prepared in such a mouth-watering way as to exceed any meal I have had in NY, San Fransisco, Miami, London, or Paris. The desert was an array of colorful selections artistically plated. If you're ever traveling in the region, you must make every effort to visit this restaurant and be treated to one of the finest experiences in culinary craftsmanship you might ever enjoy in your life.
Very characteristic place, immersed in the woods, with an outdoor space to make children play safe, away from the road. The menu is excellent, we were offered a fixed menu on which we did some reduction because it was really very abundant. Excellent cuisine, traditional but made with great care and some pleasant innovation. Excellent truffle and porcini dishes. The staff is very kind and helpful.
Very nice place and food ok, menu (at least that day not à la carte but already fixed, service in the norm without infamy and without praise. It's worth it to go and go back. I am not convinced of the bottles of wine that arrive at the table already open (wine of the house.. but it was ok, good wine.
