Bidrage med feedbackWe were visiting Sant' Agata de' Goti a pretty small village near Naples and wanted to eat dinner somewhere in the area. By chance I read about Antico Pozzo degli Ulivi. I contacted the place in advance about having dinner at the farm. When we got there, first of all the farm and the house are beautiful and almost completely fully self sustainable. The owners of the place Amelia, Franco are the friendliest, honest, most hospitable people. It was just a great pleasure and honor to visit their farm. We came early, so Franco showed us around and explained everything about their farm, that they have their own animals, eggs. They make own olive oil, wine balsamic vinegar, honey. They make own jams and sauces from their fruits and vegetables. Then we had a many course dinner from all their products and home cooking. This was the best dinner we had from all the dinners we traveled for 2 weeks in the South of Italy! Even though Amelia doesn't speak English and Franco tries but doesn't speak perfectly, it all didn't matter because they do everything from their heart and with the help of Google translate we had no problem communicating. We came as strangers and left as friends. If I had a choice, I would stay at the farm for at least few days next time, don't miss this opportunity!
Once again back in Naples (my land) and I revisited Franco the proud owner of this well established Agriturismo. We received a warm welcome fromFranco and his family. As usual a great selection of fresh produce prepared by his wife. Plenty of delicious wine, cakes and liquors. This place is well worth a visit, always a pleasure! Ideal charming location, lovely views, live music and wonderful food! Tranquil atmosphere children can play safetly outside. We visited as a party of six (four adults and two children). We live in Naples and discovered this place when researching places to eat with friends in Sant Agatha de Goti. We have lived in Italy for 3 years and this is the most excellent dining experience we have had at an Italian agriturismo. What makes it so? The food — locally sourced products, and the people! The staff were so warm and inviting despite my mistake in our reservation time. They were eager to share the foods prepared by the masterful chef as well as the canned vegetables, fruits and olive oil sold at the shop within the agriturismo. We dream of dining here again and hopefully soon!
As soon as I sat at the table, an endless round of appetizers arrived, not to mention even what he ate. what struck me most was the French owner who often came to our table to make us taste his products. I ate very well and there was nothing I didn't like. I'll definitely come back.
