Santa Rosa Beach Club

This restaurant is a charming and elegant spot to savor a meal by the Gulf. I visited for Sunday brunch, and the service was outstanding; the staff was friendly and attentive, even refilling my mimosa without me having to request it. The lox, crudités, and the waffle and omelette stations were all fantastic. While the buffet offered some great selections, it could benefit from a touch more creativity.

I recently dined at Vue and started with the Lobster Trio appetizer, which was outstanding. Unfortunately, the lamb did not live up to my expectations; while it was incredibly tender, it was lacking in flavor. I ordered the filet mignon, but it was too salty and overcooked, so I had to send it back. The replacement was also unsatisfactory; I usually enjoy my steak cooked medium to medium-well, but this one was cooked so much that it was inedible. Given this experience, I’m not eager to return for dinner, although I might consider trying their brunch. To make matters worse, we were charged the full price for the steak, even though we received a complimentary slice of cheesecake. On a brighter note, the service was exceptional.

This restaurant is simply incredible, offering breathtaking views of the Gulf of Mexico. We arrived early for our reservation and enjoyed drinks outside with locals who gathered to watch the sunset. Once seated, we indulged in even more delightful beverages. My wife and I experienced the best grouper Elizabeth we've ever tasted along the Gulf Coast. The fantastic food, combined with the stunning scenery, made for an unforgettable experience.

I cannot recommend booking a wedding at this venue! Although it is now known as The Vue, it primarily functions as a private beach club, restaurant, and wedding venue. They lack a contingency plan for Florida storms, and the staff’s slow responsiveness led to several issues, such as the absence of music during the ceremony and restaurant patrons being seated at the bar during the wedding. The food was served cold, and there was a clear lack of focus on the wedding party, as regular guests seemed to take precedence. However, if you’re simply looking for a beautiful spot to enjoy a meal by the beach, this venue is perfect—just steer clear of hosting any large special events here!
