Basmati's Asian Cuisine

I love this family owned and operated restaurant. The menu has a lot of options from sushi to Vietnamese to American. We went with seafood starting with Pu Pu appetizer that included yummy crab cake, veg spring roll, and dumpling. We also had tuna and yellowtail nigiri that was delicious. For dinner I had the firecracker grouper with rice and it was special. Service was prompt and friendly. Reservations highly recommended. I love the old cottage turned into a Viet restaurant. Perfect ambiance for this restaurant. We stopped in the night before and they were busy so we made inside reservation for the next night. More than half the seating is on the screen porch or outside patio, which can be warm.

Was able to a reservation the day before without issue. Interestingly, the menu contains no basmati rice, but Jasmine rice. And they do not have mango sticky rice which was a bummer. Overall, the lamb chops were well seasoned. Duck did not have a gamey taste, but was in the sweeter side. The house sautéed vegetables were overdone and too sweet. It was served under the duck and had become very soggy. Had a mock tail consisting of pomegranate which was good. Ambiance is nice inside and patio looked nice a as well. Service was good, friendly.

We ordered 3 different sushi rolls: Red Dragon, Spicy Crunchy Shrimp, and Feeling Frisky. The Red Dragon had a lot of flavor when dipped in soy sauce, the Spicy Crunchy Shrimp was a classic crunchy shrimp roll with a mild shrimp taste, and the Feeling Frisky had too much basil for my wife and me. We probably wouldn't order that one again. Overall, we may not return to this restaurant, but we're glad we tried it out. Perhaps if we had ordered entrees and were impressed, it would have been a different story.

This restaurant is excellent in every way! Although it is a small place inside, it is extremely comfortable. The Asian theme is clearly evident and if they used Feng Shui, it definitely worked as the atmosphere feels relatively peaceful. It can be a bit loud due to its size, but it's not too bad. Even though there was a loud child, it was not the restaurant's fault. The service was prompt and very friendly, with our server being sweet and always smiling. Another male server also stopped by to help and provided excellent service, bringing us more rice and red curry sauce. The food was fantastic, along with the jasmine tea and alcoholic beverages we ordered. We started with a Res Dragon sushi roll which was beautiful and delicious. I had the Red Curry Shrimp with eggplant and it was amazing! The butterflied shrimp, grilled eggplant, and creamy red curry sauce with white dried rice noodles on top were perfect. My wife enjoyed the pu pu appetizer platter, which included gyoza, the best crab cake ever, and a spring roll. My parents both ordered the salmon and loved every bite. The presentation was gorgeous and they keep going back for it. I regret not dining at Basmati's sooner and I'm looking forward to my next trip to Florida so I can go again. Highly recommend checking out the beautiful food at this restaurant, it truly is a work of art!

Beautiful dining staff. Very clean elegant. I love this restaurant. I would recommend it to all my friends and family.
