Village Bakery - Santa Rosa

If you haven't tasted the Tres Leches cake from Village Bakery, you are missing out on how amazing Tres Leches cake can be. I wasn't a big fan of it until I tried one at VB for a work function. It was light and moist, not overly sweet, and had a delicious flavor without being overwhelming. It was truly delicious. In all honesty, almost everything I have tried at Village Bakery has been delightful. The cafe and counter service are also excellent.

This bakery in Montgomery village is absolutely adorable! The atmosphere here is perfect for relaxing with a book or studying. I usually go here for their delicious mochas, but their sandwiches and cupcakes are also top-notch. The staff are extremely friendly as well. I can't wait to try more items from their menu!

I dropped by to pick up some bread. Not all breads are created equal and this place has bread so fluffy I could sleep on it. I was surprised to see the wide array of desserts offered because I didn't notice that many the last time I dropped by. I'm glad I know because now I look forward to trying them all! They look delicious!

So. I have 2 picky kids 7 and 11 and a mother who only eats microwavable food from Traders Joes. For her birthday I got a Tres Leches cake from The Village Bakery. I wasn 't sure what to expect, because I have never had a tres leches cake but OMG. First of all- everyone loved it. Kids, mom, me-it was DIVINE. It was the highlight of her birthday dinner! We had it for breakfast the very next morning. Then we each had a slice for lunch. And that was it. It was gone. I already have been wondering when the next holiday is so I can order another one. Best cake I have ever eaten in my entire life. Thank you!!!!
