Bidrage med feedbackGreat little casual bar and lower key dining option at the beautiful Vintners Inn. The bar is dark and very lounge like but beautiful and they have a front room which offers beautiful views of the gorgeous grounds. They offer a well rounded bar menu with several wonderful small plate options. We are there twice during our stay and the fish tacos were a standout. The burrata was good, but the bread came overly grilled and buttered and was very greasy. The atmosphere is wonderful in there and the wine options were great. The service was friendly, but definitely lacking when it stands up to other dining options in wine country.
Would give a 5 of 5 if not for the exceedingly sweet drinks on happy hour. Next time, I will stick with wine or beer. Room is very comfortable, service is great and food is good. We were staying at Vintners Inn, so having TFR so close by was really nice.
This place was even more awful than the hotel room. We arrived and were directed up a wheelchair ramp into the dining area, the problem being that they had a table and chairs set up at the top of the ramp that was impossible to get around we actually ran into a poor woman with her back towards us, innocently sitting at that table. (That 's ADA illegal for accessibility . When we got to our table I couldn 't get close enough to the table to eat because the flared table pedestal, albeit good looking, was so wide that the wheels on my wheelchair couldn 't fit on both sides of it. OK...so I raised the foot pedals and tried again. Still no luck; my husband had to take the leg supports entirely off my wheelchair and even that didn 't work I still had to lift my legs onto the sides of the pedestal to get close enough to the table to eat. (Again, ADA illegal. There were SO many tables crammed into the dining area that it was impossible for servers to get into the room that they kept bumping into customers sitting in chairs, and kept moving the chairs at our table back and forth to be able to get past. Then my husband had to wait 30 minutes for his cocktail because the bartender 'forgot ' to make it; and through all this, they had only 1 waitress actively working throughout the dining room. I talked to the restaurant manager after returning to our room for the night, politely explaining the ADA illegalities and the bad time we 'd had there that evening. You 'd think that something might be comped, even just our drinks, but no...he thanked me and hung up. This for a restaurant with a menu that starts at $18 for an appetizer (3 oysters . We will NEVER eat there again!
We visited for the happy hour and thoroughly enjoyed the offerings. We arrived close to the end of happy hour, but our server made sure to get our orders rung up to get the specials. The lumpia spring rolls where great as was the calamari.
The front room bar and sunroom are a great place to catch up, visit, have some great food and drink. Try to go for happy hour, when the prices are great.
