Shorebar - Santa Monica

I visited this bar last night for an event and had a fantastic time. I did not have the same experience as others have mentioned in their reviews. Perhaps it was because it was an event, not a regular night. Regardless, I cannot relate to the negative feedback. The bartenders were extremely friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed and even checking on us for refills. The only downside is that there is only valet parking available for those who do not want to park on the street and walk a distance. However, the valet attendants were also friendly and provided excellent service. I will definitely be returning on a regular night as I love the cozy atmosphere of the bar. It gives off a luxurious vibe with a hint of beach vacation vibes.

I really enjoyed my time at Shorebar. It is a lot of fun! I recommended going with a group of friends!

I am unsure how to rate this place. It seems to cater to those 21 and older, but it just doesn't have the right atmosphere. I suggest going to Golden Bull just up the street for a more elegant and welcoming experience. They have excellent bartenders, a cozy fireplace, play nice music, and offer booth seating. It is a romantic spot but can also be fun for a group of friends. For those under 20, I'm sure you will enjoy it. During my visit with my girlfriend (both in our late 20s), we noticed that the majority of the crowd seemed to be underage, some appearing to be high school students. The prices were high for what was offered, and the place lacked seating. The DJ seemed young and inexperienced, and overall, the place was disappointing. It may need a renovation or closer inspection to ensure it is following legal age restrictions.

Shorebar was a college staple! Go for loud music and dancing with a crowd. Thursdays are the college crowd!

Nice Bar/lounge in Santa Monica. We attended a birthday party here and the place was jumping on a Saturday night. The venue has about six booths and a large bar area. Drinks were great and bartenders were attentive. Parking is valet, but you might be able to find parking near by, but get ready to walk. They have a DJ playing tunes and a small dance floor. Come check this place out to have a drink or two.
