This was one of my favorite places in LA until today. My husband and I ordered 6 drinks (4 cocktails and food over the course of 2 hours. The owner said we didn’t order enough food and that we were being rude by taking up space and we needed to leave. We were just reading at our table at this moment and to be essentially verbally accosted during an otherwise relaxing time felt so terrible and rude. Richard, you messed up. I’m not sure what you had going on today but this was not a good business move and I will not be back. Very unnecessarily hurtful. Here’s some constructive advice on how to behave like a professional in food service and hospitality: 1 come up and introduce yourself, and ask us how we’re doing. (You didn’t do that- you came up and starting lecturing us which was so strange and uncalled for. 2 ask us if we need or want anything. (Hint: I was just about to get up to order tacos, and probably more. 3 remind us that, with the live band starting, the place was filling up and that we should be mindful of that. (This is totally acceptable to say in this order. 4 if you struggle with polite interpersonal communication, put up signs. (Ie 2 hour limit per group. this will help avoid people feeling singled out and even potentially discriminated against, which is how we felt. (A bunch of people around us were also reading and had been there a similar length of time. Hope this helps! Good luck

Very rude owner. We ordered six drinks and some food. Shortly after our table was cleared from food, and as we were finishing our drinks, the owner came up to us and rudely told us that we needed to leave because we weren’t ordering more. I get that the place was at capacity but that rudeness was totally uncalled for we were only there for two hours and had spent over $100 on food and drinks already. Definitely don’t recommend this place if you want to just enjoy your drinks without being bothered

I truly wasn’t going to review because I don’t leave reviews ever- but I was here with my family and had a beautiful lunch in Perrys Cafe sand area and They had really comfortable chairs that my kids loved playing in the sand around. The only reason I’m rating this low is while i took my daughter to use the restroom (located in the back) I over heard this older gentleman screaming at his employees. I won’t write specifics but what I heard was disrespectful to whoever was on the other end. I didn’t want my daughter to hear so we quickly left back around. I just felt bad for the employees- it appears they seem used to it. Yes, you run a business- but yelling won’t achieve anything.. Spread Kindess
