Monsieur Marcel's is a great spot for affordable French cuisine on the Third Street Promenade. It's a fun place to have dinner and people watch in downtown Santa Monica. The staff is courteous, professional and I was surprised that almost everyone who served us was a native French speaker. Favorite dish? Of course, the escargots with olive oil and basil. Each table will also receive a complimentary bread basket with butter.
