Dono - Santa Monica

Everything was fantastic, from the drinks to the food. We sampled around a dozen dishes and enjoyed every single one of them.

The restaurant appeared to be a bit understaffed initially. Several dishes that were served were either burnt or dry, suggesting it might have been an off night for them. Our server seemed to be quite overwhelmed. I'm not sure if I would return for dinner. However, one highlight was the mussels, which were excellent. I wish we had chosen a different place for our anniversary, as they definitely have some improvements to make.

Tapas, drinks and main dishes were excellent. Great atmosphere and mixed ages which is always nice to see. Only criticism were the chairs: all chairs have the most poorly designed backs. All should be replaced at bar, high tops and tables.

Great tapas and cocktails! great service! a lil expensive, but it is worth it! will come back to try other things!

We first ate at this restaurant and sat in the outdoor terrace. Had a wonderful meal great experience. This time we sat indoors. The music and noise were so loud we had to scream across the table to be heard. The wait staff couldn’t hear us and we had a hard time hearing them. Why do so many restaurants make it difficult to converse with your party by having music so loud??? Never eat indoors in this restaurant. You’ll end up with a hoarse voice once you leave.
