EL GRILLO MARINERO

After reading many reviews here on Tripadvisor, we followed the advice and had lunch here. Let me tell you, this place has some of the best seafood you will ever eat. My husband had the seafood soup....a giant bowl that could have fed two! I had the octopus, snails and shrimp in garlic butter and it was to die for! There is only seafood on the menu and that is what we wanted! You wont go wrong, both plates, a beer, two mezcals and 1 diet coke came to $45 US. The ambiance was quaint as the restaurant sits on a corner, is open air with a palapa style roof and there was a tropical storm that went thru as we ate! When we retrun to Huatulco we will for sure visit again

Went to Grillo Marinero for the second time last night this year. Got the same dish. Husband got Dorado cooked in butter and garlic. I had the shrimp prepared in garlic and butter. It was so fresh and delicious both times, and is a good value. Brought some home as we couldn’t finish all of it. The only reason I didn’t give it a “5” is because my dish arrived about five minutes after his. Service was great thanks to Reyna, Gilberto and Alexis. Hope to go again before we fly home, but if not, we will next winter.

Had a great dinner here of Garlic shrimp and Mahi , family owned and very reasonable , everything was extremely fresh and the folks are warm and welcoming. Definitely will be a bookmarked highlight to return !

Llegue a este lugar por las buenas calificaciones que tiene, pedi de comer un pulpo en su tinta de $175 el platillo y una limonada, la limonada no tenia azucar, le pedi que me cancelara al mesero una bebida antes que me la sirviera y me dijo que ya no se podia que ya estaba apuntada, cuando me sirvieron el platillo el pulpo estaba duro y chicloso como si estuviera mascando ligas y trozos de llanta, como guarnicion traia un arroz que cocieron primero al vapor y luego lo frieron en pure de tomate sin sal ni consome y ni siquiera una rebanada de tomate o una ramita de perejil, para esa calidad de platillo ni en una fondita ustedes juzquen la foto. No cuentan con Aire acondicionado y la cocina esta a la vista. La verdad no lo recomiendo mil veces comer en Terra cota restaurant y a la mitad del costo con el doble de calidad.
