I just can't find barbeque that measures up. People here are satisfied because they don't know better. Boo hoo
Had been in here before when it was known as Blue Corn Brewing and it was always good. Decided to stop in for lunch and give new ownership a try. Food was good and a large portion. Beer was good but on the warm side for how I usually drink it. There was music but not so loud you couldn't talk. Staff was polite and attentive.
We visited on a weekday afternoon. The first thing you notice as you walk in the restaurant is the blaring music. The bar was not full, and the dining room was almost completely empty. The music was so incredibly loud, it made the dining experience uncomfortable. The service was very good though; our server was friendly, efficient and helpful. We mainly wanted to try the enmoladas which were chicken enchiladas with a mole sauce. The chicken was fresh, and the mole sauce was very good, but the entire plate was luke warm. The accompanying rice and beans were bland and cold, and in desperate need of salt and spices. In a city where there are plenty of Mexican and New Mexican options, we might pass on returning here.
Good Food with decent portions. The burgers and fish were great. The Buffalo Trace aged Stout beer was one of the best stouts I've had. The bar service was frust slow. Our party ordered to cocoritas. One came with the beer. The other one never arrived, even after my wife ordered a second one.
