Crazy Crab - Santa Cruz

The lobster and crab boil is amazing, the owner cooked the food himself and served us. He even stayed open later just so we could eat there.

Spicy Shrimp was good, not super fresh but good. Calamari was flavorless and rubbery. Would come back for shrimp!

Amazing this is the only SEAFOOD restaurant. We are not from the area. We arrived about 9 p.m. whew.. just before closing.There was only two other diners eating inside, so we were hoping for a delicious meal. It is a bit expensive. The young lady cashier/waitress is friendly, helpful, and very attentive to her customers A+.We ordered crab, crayfish, shrimp, lobster, and garlic noodles. The service was actually quick. The garlic noodles are very delicious and very garlicky. Perfect!The corn is very fragrant as is sits in your bag of food. Oh yeah...your meal comes in a see-thru bag. If you eat in expect a paper across your table and feel free to leave your shells on the table in pile. All the food is delicious.We met the owner a very pleasant, happy, and humble man.The only thing I would like to suggest is removing the waste in the shrimp. I know there is a machine to make it easier.There are two sink stations to wash your hands after your meal. The soap used there smells awful long after same as in their restroom) dries out your skin.Also it would be nice if they would remove the table from the HANDICAP PARKING..The parking lot is VERY small and you need to literally squeeze yourself out of your vehicle because of how close the parking spots are here.

That was a big hole in the wall. I ever cook the best seafood. it feels like ppl has given it bad reviews so that they can take themselves or someone they know the main item of real estate. after a 12-hour shift I decided to take the hour long drive so I could enjoy the delicious food. we saw that the lights were at the arrival, we ask the hot pot restaurant if they knew why the crazy crab was closed and they just told us that they were closed for good. they hurt more than niner lose

To be honest, there are no other words than shocking disappointment. outside the seating places is literally next to a parking lot with unmatched aged skies. I found out later that you were allowed to sit outside, so if you can. not sure whether it's my fault to have unrealistic expectations or to get confused by advertising. that is a Chinese restaurant, no Caribbean or seafood that sells seafood. the food was served by the next door sesame grill. because the king crab and crayfish were sold out, we didn't think it was worth getting the combo. instead we got the shrimp fried rice and lobster popcorn. not recommend it was not filling out. it's our fault that we don't get the underwriting article, but should have just left, but the cashier stood in front of us, so we felt guilty. the employees are nice people, but do not recommend them if they do not take.
