Paraíso Caño Hondo

Great cozy hotel. Do not expect too much of it, staple food and service, but very beautiful rooms, scratched into the real stone.

Hidden in the forest, through a river, surrounded by all nature you will find this paradise. The place is many activities to keep you amazed in adventures all day. On site restaurant with good food. The best attraction is the river; they have made several natural pools around the entire property, so you can find your preferred place.

Absolutely loved the whole experience. The rooms, the pools, the food, the tours, the service were all brilliant. A kind of experience, but not even in life, as we will definitely come back.

We like to get away from the resorts, so my wife and I rented a car for a week. We ended up in Miches and talked with some friendly locals who highly recommended this place for a few beers and a refreshing bath. It was fantastic if you want to remove from the tourist traps of DR. All natural rocks formed in small pools. We paid about $10 in CDN funds for a day pass that included parking. I wish we had arrived earlier to use the entire property. Would definitely rent a room and spend a few days next to traveling in this area of DR.

Really amazing place, we were lucky to some extent there were few tourists there so it felt like it was almost just for us. The place is amazing artistically and it's nice to explore the different levels and paths and pools.
