Xiringuito Garbi Lo Del Mig

This is based on the main beach and so has a steady flow of customers. Often such places have no need to be too worried about high standards as the turnover is transient and high. We had lunch drinks here twice. The salads are very generous and freshly plated. We had the grilled sardines and the fried baby squid which were both delicious! The service is good and tho few English words the menus have English translations and the requisite tourist spot pictures. For a beach cafe it is a good one.

Having been introduced (only this Summer) by friends to this lovely little Xiringuito (which means beach bar/restaurant in Catalan),I can only say my visits have always been very welcoming.It is family run they have been operating for the last 7 years,of course only during the summer season.They do lovely grilled fresh sardines mussels,which always goes down well with an ice cold glass of white wine,as well as tapas normal kiddie type food.(Their house wine is local comes from the nearby Terra Alta wine region) The food drinks are not cheap but are reasonable.Very little English is spoken,but you will get by,so do not be afraid to visit if you have very little Spanish or Catalan.The benefit of such a bar/restaurant is that you can simply leave your beach sunbathing spot within minutes be sitting down to tapas a cool drink. It is used by lots of Spanish Catalan holiday makers,which is always a good sign.
