Back Street Grill - Sanford

Extremely overpriced. This is a truck stop diner trying to be fancy. The only decent thing was the onion rings. We had a variety of different foods, mac and cheese tasted like it was powered cheese. I got scallops and haddock, thirty dollars for shriveled haddock and three scallops in a soggy mess. The squash was over seasoned, sliced up mush. The beans were pre frozen. Waitress was rude, seemed like we were an inconvenience to her. I won't ever go back. Terrible, don't waste your money!

Since I live out of town, it was my first visit since Paul bought the restaurant. I went to school with him. The staff was very friendly helpful with the beer selection. The food came out piping hot I was very satisfied with my meal. There was 5 of us everyone enjoyed everything. I will definitely come back again!Food: 5/5

Back Street Sanford was incredibly accommodating when we called to confirm if they could accommodate our party of seventeen. They happily offered us a choice between seating upstairs or downstairs at our selected time. Upon our arrival, they graciously set up an additional table and chairs as we had a few more guests than expected. The wait staff even provided us with separate checks. Everyone enjoyed their meals and drinks. My husband and I both ordered the chicken cordon bleu, which was excellent and came with garlic smashed potatoes and carrots. We were able to linger from about 6:30 until nearly closing time since it was a Thursday night and not very busy. Back Street Sanford turned out to be the ideal location for our family gathering since many of us were visiting from out of town.

A nice restaurant, great service, and the food was delicious. Chicken Parmesan and Baked Haddock. First time there and we'll be back.

I stopped by for lunch today before moving out of town, and I just have to say that Peggy is absolutely incredible! She's funny, kind, and incredibly quick and accommodating. It’s not often you come across someone who genuinely loves their job, but from the moment we walked in, it was clear that Peggy does! Thank you, Peggy! I’ll definitely come back to visit when I’m back in town!
