Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen

I organized a big birthday celebration at this restaurant, and I was truly impressed with the service, especially considering the size of our group. The food was outstanding, and there was only one minor issue with a meal among the 20 guests, but the server handled it promptly and to everyone’s satisfaction. I will definitely come back! The only drawback was the parking situation, which is typical for that area.

I want to start by saying that the biscuits were absolutely delightful. However, the portions of jam were surprisingly small. The rest of our meal was enjoyable, but not exceptional. We sampled the avocado toast, chicken and waffles, collard greens, and grits. The service was friendly, and the restaurant had a uniquely charming decor.

As for our meal, we ordered the Cast Iron Pork, Sriracha Honey Chicken Waffle, and Brussels Sprouts. While the waffle was too thick and didn't have the crispiness we expected, the chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, perfectly balancing sweet and spicy flavors. I would recommend this dish if you don't mind the waffle. Unfortunately, the Brussels Sprouts were slightly overcooked.

I highly recommend this restaurant! Everything we sampled was fantastic! Our server, Cat, was not only funny and charming but also very attentive, even with a bustling crowd and her busy schedule. Courtney, the manager, took the time to stop by and make sure we were satisfied with our food and service. The prices were quite reasonable, and the portions were very generous. We left feeling completely full! It was a great brunch experience, and we will definitely be back. Just a tip—be sure to make a reservation before you go. We were glad we did, as the place was really busy and those without a reservation faced a wait of over an hour.

The Siracha chicken and waffles were just okay, but the biscuits were fantastic. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. Our server and her trainee only came to our table once to take our drink and food orders. We never received our cocktails, and the server didn’t check on us at all; we couldn't even get her attention. While we did get our water and our food arrived in a reasonable time, the server casually mentioned during our meal, “Oh, you didn’t get your drinks?” She promised she would look into it. However, ten minutes later, we finished eating and still hadn’t received our drinks. Eventually, we managed to get the trainee’s attention and asked her to ensure that the drinks we never received wouldn’t be included on our bill. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all during our visit, so this was particularly disappointing. Overall, we were very dissatisfied with our experience.
