Shipwreck Ice Cream - Sandwich

The smaller portions at this restaurant are quite large, enough for young children to have trouble finishing. There is ample seating available on wooden tables or lounge chairs to enjoy your ice cream. In addition, there is a small koi pond with turtles and a bunny cage to entertain the little ones.

During a camping trip with friends to Cape Cod, we spent two days in Sandwich and were delighted to discover The Shipwreck for ice cream. After enjoying a delicious treat on our first night, we couldn't resist returning on our second day. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the selection of ice cream was extensive and delightful. Our favorite flavor was Ginger, and I particularly enjoyed the ginger pumpkin combination I ordered. In addition to the great ice cream, the restaurant has a charming atmosphere, with the opportunity to observe tortoises in the fenced area out back and relax in fish or skull-themed Adirondack chairs. There are plenty of tables to sit and enjoy your ice cream. Overall, The Shipwreck offers a great location, good value, and we definitely plan on returning soon.

I stopped by this restaurant after visiting the beach and it was a really nice place. The staff was friendly and I was impressed that they can make any flavor milkshake. I tried the basic cookie dough milkshake but will try something different next time. We also ordered a kiddie pistachio, kiddie vanilla, and mint chocolate chip shake.

Great visit tonight! Super quiet which was a benefit for me tonight, but this is not the case when in season. Always busy. Lots of ice cream flavors to pick from. Worth the visit and the wait on a busy day.
