Marketplace Downtown - Sandusky

Easily the most overrated place around the Sandusky area. This place makes absolutely no sense. It's like they saw all the failing malls across America and was like ooo look we can make a smaller version of that failure and up charge locals. Nothing says money scam like throwing an axe in a plank of wood.

A fun place to check out for out of towners. The kids played VR and skee ball, I took home a bunch of beer from the bar downstairs. Wide variety of things to do.

Great place to visit, and you have your choice of a few restaurants. Activities for adults and children, and the place is still growing ? ?

Cute addition to downtown offering a trendy, artistic vibe with several small food, dessert, or boutique businesses. We visited on a Thursday afternoon and several shops inside were closed. We ordered food at Derrick Jr. 's BBQ (HIGHLY recommend...yum) and while waiting for food, checked out the children 's museum downstairs which is a thoughtful, fun addition for the little ones. Several interactive busy-board style interactive children 's activities were mounted in the hallway leading to the museum which were free and fun to explore. We didn 't do the children 's museum but it looked best for the age ranges of 5/6-11/12 although I did see a pre-walking baby (maybe 9-12 months old) sitting at a baby-friendly station while a sibling explored. When our food was ready, we walked back upstairs and enjoyed our meal in the outdoor courtyard.

The restaurant offers a fantastic variety of activities and food. It's conveniently located near the water. We especially love the cookie dough and axe throwing!
