Boca Del Sur - SANDRINGHAM

This is a great place to eat, it has a good atmosphere with attentive staff. The food is excellent especially their tapas menu and the best thing is the food isn't overly expensive.

I took mum here for Mother's Day lunch and we had such a lovely lunch! Everything about our day was great here. The service was exceptional, the restaurant is really nicely designed and the food was immaculate! We ordered plates to share from the mouthfuls and tapas menu plus dessert, everything came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. There wasn't one aspect of this restaurant I could fault. I will definitely be returning and recommending it to all of my friends.

Well decorated. Really friendly and attentive service. Good drinks list (happy hour specials). Great views over bay (good at sunset).Only had tapas (it was Wednesday half price tapas night) of which most was very good. The patatas bravas was great, pork and beef meatballs with mushroom and truffle were nice, the prawn and pork dumplings tasty, roast duck cigars good and empanadas OK.So there was a theme here. The flavours need to be dialled up. Everything was really quite OK and I would definitely go back as the value was excellent, but I will be tough and critique against the highest standard.The duck flavour was a bit lost in Hoi Sin, filo and oil. Meatballs needed to have a stronger mushroom flavour and truffle was nearly all lost. A little more aioli on patatas. The empanadas had a little dob of sauce on top and we're a little dry and flavourless. Didn't try mains, will be that next time.The Sangria was excellent. We had the "Classic": red wine, brandy and spiced rum.The restaurant also does wood fired pizza (Thursday special) and Paella (Friday special). We'll definitely try these.So welcoming great place, but do not expect haut cuisine, do expect nice night out.

We were wandering around the beaches on a hot day and wanted a relaxed and informal meal. Tapas appealed and Boca del Sur was just the thing. We sat outside and had sangrias, beers and various tapas. The staff was very good with suggestions and fast service.

Today was a perfect day to drive along Beach road. We spotted Boca del Sur and called in for lunch. Charles greeted us at the door and was the perfect mix of friendly and efficient. The food is delicious and we will definitely return to try some of the other food on the menu. A great place for couples or groups.
