Bidrage med feedbackI have tried to stay away from the restaurants at the water on my visit here because I think they are popular because of their outside seats and close to the water, but the place I wanted to go was full and cafe lyon has Wi-Fi (very. in this city, so I thought I would try. it was a beautiful winter day to enjoy a meal outdoors. the personal was annoying, very busy, but rather efficient not much time for pleasant things, but attentive. I had one of the recommended dishes of the day dorade grille (sea bream 22 euro. it came with kartoffels, a bit salat and a mixture of a few sweets (more than I had in any other restaurant so far. there were grilled asparagus, a few flower charcoal, tomato, black olive, carrots. the fish was completely. very fresh, well cooked, but very labor intensive to eat with the lifting of the bones and fins and stuffs. I'm not a amateur, so it didn't matter to be a little creepy and it was worth it. that eating didn't blow me away, but it was good. I appreciated the fresh criminal and lemon that were used to grill the fish, and I enjoyed the sweet and the location. they have some very well appreciated day specialties that wein, meal, dessert and coffee, but today was lasagne, which I was absolutely not in the mood for unfortunately. I would go back as a form.
We were looking for a sunny and not too windy terrace on a Friday noon. Fortunately we got our table just accordingly. The service was friedly and fast. The daily dish salmon tataki with vegetables just excellent: fresh, not at all greasy, vegetables al dente,...tasty! And just for 13 euros! Some local table rosé wine we enjoyed it! Also the deserts were of quality. I can really recommend this place for a healthy, modern, tasty lunch!
Third year in Sanary and this cafe never disappoints, great service, average old port area prices and great coffee served by polite staff which you don't find everywhere. They don't seem to mind how long you sit there either which is really nice on a...hot day as you can just chill and take in the ambiance. Free internet too, although with no roaming charges this year, for the first time I didn't use it! They also try to understand my Holiday French rather than resorting to English which is much appreciated. A perfect spot to people watch looking into the old port. importantly they serve decafinated coffee with no shoulder shrugging! Limited lunch menu although we didn't eat there, but can't fault the coffee. Look them up and view their eminent past customers from WW2 onwards.
Right on the harbour front. Lovely to sit in the morning for a croissant and coffee. Service is efficient, speedy and friendly. Whenever we passed, morning, noon or night, it was always busy. Didn't have a meal here but plenty others did. Research the history...of this establishment. Frequented by writers, artists and many other prominent figures over the decades. Holiday ambience at its best!!
Although this place is just along from Haagen Dazs in Sanary it offers a different kind of ice-cream and chocolate experience and is worth a visit if you love ice-cream, hot chocolate or both. We went in on a cool New Year's Eve and warmed...up with some of the 12 flavours of hot chocolate (mmmm! , but couldn't resist an ice-cream treat as well. A single scoop with sauce is enough ufo a treat but you can have a full on sundae or split in a fancy dish complete with piles of whipped cream, sauce and decorations. And friendly service, even when busy!
