Ra Sushi Bar Restaurant - San Xavier

Once seated it took 30 minutes to get water, 1 hour to get any food/appetizers. And to make it up to us they gave us a $10 voucher to use on our next visit. I don't think we will be back to use it. Food was mediocre at best.

Our Server was excellent. So sweet and incredibly attentive. However, the hostesses were a different story. All three that were at the front came off incredibly rude. Our server (I think his name was Jamal), was one of the best servers I've ever had.

The menu is large and that should have been the clue that the food would not be impressive. It is not realistic for such a large variety of dishes to all be excellent. The Shrimp Tempura Handroll was mostly crab salad with two small fried shrimp, not impressive. We asked for a bowl of only tuna and avocado and were told, “Yes, no problem”. We got a bowl of seared tuna, avocado and a lot of lettuce. Not impressed. We ordered a side of gyoza and a side of vegetable rolls, we got an appetizer size of each. From their menu the side orders are only two veg rolls and three gyoza, what we got was way bigger. Also, most everything had a certain spice blend added which made everything taste similar and too spicy for our liking. Won't be back.

We waited over 30 minutes for a glass of Prosecco. . I had to go the bar and asked what happened to our orders. Abed was an attentive waiter, however we had to wait 20 minutes to receive our bill. We asked if the drinks could be comped, and he brought back a complimentary drink as we were leaving. We were disappointed and ended up waiting too long.

My daughter and I went to RA Sushi Bar for a late dinner. This was my first time eating at this simply elegant red and black restaurant. Even though it was quite late, the service was great! We ordered drinks from the menu that were fresh and delightful. However, nothing could have prepared me for the mouth-watering sushi rolls! Every taste has its unique blend of ingredient flavors, which added to the freshness of the salmon. In my opinion, this is one of the best sushi restaurants I've been in! My compliments to the creators! I will be eating here again!
