Bidrage med feedbackWe arrived here for a (relatively early dinner after moseying our way down the main drag in San Vincenzo. The restaurant was empty, so we got a great table right on the patio. The restaurant is adorable...all mismatched furniture and dishes. The menu is really small (3 appetizers, 3 first course options, 4 entrees, and dessert , so choosing was pretty easy. We ended up getting a chard and ricotta gnudi (like a ravioli, but without the pasta--just the filling with bottarga di muggine (a salted, cured fish roe and ravioli carbonara with a savory crème anglaise. First, they brought us a cute little box filled with three different kinds of house made bread--two of them were still warm, and all three were delicious. While we were munching the bread, the whole restaurant started to smell like sage and butter...the ultimate aperitivo! We were drooling. Our meals finally arrived, and the aromas we'd been enjoying were indeed a good indication of what we ended up eating. The The gnudi was mild and delicious, and complemented well by the bottarga. The ravioli, which the server put down on the table and then proceeded to douse in the crème anglaise, was ridiculously rich and addictively delicious. If I'm ever back in San Vincenzo (fingers crossed! , I'll definitely return to Ristorante Pane e Acqua.
