Las Margaritas Restaurante

We have been going to this wonderful hidden gem for many years every Saturday morning. the owner, yadi, speaks very good English and all their staff are very friendly and accommodating. it is such a beautiful atmosphere to enjoy our Saturday breakfast. eating is... probably good and very reasonable.

I liked the openness of the restaurant, it has a market look about it. The kids liked the atmosphere and especially the fountain with fish in it. The service was wonderful but it does not have the best margaritas so I do not understand the...name.

We walked in for a drink and we ended up talking to the lovely dueña (owner) of the restaurant which gave us tips on how to discover the city with our 4 months old baby! The food was great and we recommend it as a...good location for a break from the noisy street of Puerto Escondido.

We came here twice, first time we ordered chorizo sopes and empanadas which were amazing. Second time, we ordered non-Mexican food mostly, some of us tried club sandwiches and the owner offered to make us tacos which were not normally on the menu, and we...obliged. We were less impresses than the second time, but still good! Stick with the authentic Mexican food and order what's on the menu.

I would highly recommend visiting Las Margaritas to anyone staying in Puerto Escondido. Located in the middle of the down-town area, Las Margaritas is a world away from the ultra-touristic commercialised strip of La Zicatela and serves real Oaxacan food at incredible prices. The restaurant...is cool and spacious, the staff are attentive and friendly, and the food is packed with flavour and served generously. For those looking to escape some of the superficiality that can be found along the main hotel area, this is your spot.
