La Candela - San Miguel de Cozumel

Amazingly authentic Mexican restaurant, I like its speciality of the day that includes a drink and an appetizer suppe! I like her fajitas too. best lunch restaurant on the island, close the kitchen at 4 o'clock and they also do breakfast.

I lived a month next to la candella and ate there every day, it was fantastic. Every day they have a special, traditional Cuban with a Mexican magering, and it doesn't matter what they order. the restaurant closes about 18 clock and runs like a perfect machine. these are the places where they stumble unintentionally and discover the best eating on the island that has great food around every corner. wow, wow and wow.

We went to another restaurant, but stopped here because it smelled so good and we were not disappointed. delicious cuban sandwich and fresh juices. also very friendly waiting staff. great experience!

The food is a true taste of Mexico. This place is not Americanized therefore authenticity is guaranteed. Came here on a cruise. I'm Mexican American y hablo español y esto fue una deliciosa experiencia. The staff and owner where very welcoming, but not in that greedy way us tourist know. It was an honest sincere welcome. I typically won't go out of my way to write a review but this place is definitely an exception.

Wonderful place for Mexican cuisine lovers. Great food, reasonably priced, very efficient service. Try guacamole, fajitas, fish or shrimps, you won't be disappointed. During the lunch hours the place is packed with locals, the whole families dine there, which is always a good sign. Best meal in Cozumel!
