Marketplace Cafe - San Mateo

Ambiance: 2.5 stars (old/dingy vibes), Eating: 4 stars (solid). We ordered the turkey avocado panini with tomato basil and had a wonderful time laughing with my cousin. The highlight was the tomato soup - delicious but not overpowering, perfect for dipping sandwiches. The turkey cold cut slices were slightly underwhelming, but the flavors were good. The charlat was well-spiced and a great complement. The salmon was tasty but a bit dry, paired well with the cousin. The service was excellent, but the decor reminded me of a dated restaurant I used to frequent called Fresh Choice Sweet Tomato. Not sure if it's the same place.

I recently dined at this restaurant and the sandwich I ordered was delicious. The salad was also perfect. I highly recommend eating here and will definitely be coming back for more!

I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for many years. Yesterday, I tried the delicious sesame ginger salad. The service was excellent and the dining experience was pleasant.

I enjoy eating here because It's generally quiet, not a long wait and the food is tasty. The menu is limited but there is something for everyone.

It’s a quiet place located on the third floor of Nordstrom. Good for a quick bite.
