Gau Poang - San Mateo

My family has been dining at Gau Pong for 25 years. I will always remember how energetic and friendly Jerry was whenever we visited in Burlingame. Judy, who managed the San Mateo location, always remembered us when we walked in. The food was consistently delicious. It will truly be missed!

Drive down from the mountains knowing I will get the best Chinese food in the Bay Area. Hope they will be open for dine in in the world of COVID 19.

I've been a fan of Gau Poung for many years, and I’ve never had a bad meal there. When they closed for about a year, we struggled to find another Chinese restaurant that could compare. We really love this place, and Judy is fantastic. I can't wait to go back!

After the Lotus Garden closed in Foster City, my family began looking for a satisfying Chinese restaurant to fill the void. After a lot of searching, we decided to try this one! The food is fantastic, and the portions are incredibly generous! Additionally, the waitstaff are quite striking. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try—you won’t be disappointed!
