The Halal Project - San Marcos

This was my first time trying Halal Project and I really enjoyed the Combination Plate. The meat was tender and flavorful, the veggies were fresh and the portion was huge. The hot sauce is really spicy so I do recommend getting it on the side.

Fries are soggy, humus is bland, pita is stale and the shawarma is mediocre, never ordering from here again

Honestly, this is the best food weve had in San Marcos! The beef shawarma wraps, the beef kabobs, and the falafels are the best weve had anywhere! We order from The Halal Project at least once a week!

I don't really like the food. We first ordered lamb shawarma. They said they were out of lamb, and so we ordered chicken shawarma. Which is not really good, and they did not put the white sauce at all on the food. Instead, they mixed the hot sauce in the rice, which made it worse. Upon asking on the white sauce on the side, they said they were out of it. It wasn't even near to closing time. After requesting multiple times, they gave one extra sauce for 6 of us and which tasted very bad. Overall, it was a really bad experience. And wouldn't go there again.
