Le Baccanti - SAN MARCO ARGENTANO

Location In the charming village of San Marco Argentano, hidden in a small street but basically in the town center, on a terrace facing west, so perfect for a sundown dinner (but beware the wind, it can be savage there! The owner and the staff are extremely nice and polite We went twice, and the first experience was better than the second food Well presented, and definitely tasty, but alas, very very limited A couple of entrees, a couple of first and of seconds, not really THAT much. We had the mix of entrees, totally fabulous, and the first time both the fish and the pasta were delicious. The second time we (of course changed dishes, but these were less tasty, alas. The meat was good, but the pasta was not as good as the one we took on the fist visit Hence the reason for the average Very good wine, the owner gives very good suggestions. Price Not cheap at all, considering the area, but still in the mid-range

Average food, good service and a quite diverse wine list. This place is better to drink a wine than for a dinner. They offer wines from all of different regions of Italy. Funghi porcini pasta was tasty.

A little hard for us to find and park but worth it. A popular local spot. We had a super authentic dinner. Pasta's with red sauce and sweet peppers and spicy sausage. wonderful fresh flavors. Baskets of bread-olive oil. Misto salads were very good and nice presentation. all tables were full . Had a wonderful choc. moose type dessert. All four enjoyed their meal. Servers were so friendly and welcoming. Made us feel like one of the locals. super place.
