Bidrage med feedbackExcellent ambience, great service, amazing food, everything is good, I strongly recommend the jícama tacos and enchiladas potosinas soup, my only suggestion is to change the tortilla soup, it's supposed to be the main soup of the house but it's nothing beyond regular.
We heard good opinions but still a regular restaurant, maybe relevant to notice is food quality. Service and personnel attention is good to advice. Smoking room not enough to eliminate this issue. Nevertheless you have to try it by yourself.
It is the place to be for those who love meat. Traditional Mexican cuisine meets wine cellar from all over the world. Enjoy BBQ right at your table.
We had the chance to have dinner in Los Toneles. The location of the restaurant is not what you call typical for such a high class steak house however it has poven that quality goes before location. The staff was very friendly and did present the various steak selections in a very appropriate manner. The wine list is just perfect. Wines from all over the world are available. Even if you are very picky you will find the wine which suits your needs. The preparation of the meat was perfect and we had a very enjoable evening. Interesting enough the restaurant offers a seperated area for smokers inside the main room which does not interfer with the nosmoking area.
A grand closure to our short trip to San Luis. Los Tonoles was chosen for its ambience as well as it's food., There were seven of us and all had great meals and shared in a sublime dessert. From Filet Mignon to Tomahawk steak that would have choked a horse, but I was told, was simply delicious. My only real hang-up with steak in Mexico is that the restaurateurs do not let their beef age enough and then, even the finest cut of beef is tough and does not cut like butter, which a well aged beef cut will give you. Too bad, since this restaurant has everything else. Great waiters, great setting, unbelievable entrees but tough steaks
