Bidrage med feedbackI had lunch today and it was delightful! I'm glad to see that the business is thriving again. It's a fantastic lunch spot with excellent sandwiches and soups. I tried the special hot sandwich, which featured delicious lamb on a beautifully crafted baguette. They also offer a great selection of local wines, although I didn't notice anyone drinking during my visit. They host tastings from various wineries starting at 5:00 PM on Wednesdays. I’ll definitely be back!
Best fried chicken sando you can get, plus a great atmosphere, good wine, service, store options, drinks, food and more than I can list. (Plus they're dog friendly! Oliver loved his treats and got some water to drink on the patio!
I come here every single time I’m in SLO, sometimes I even go a couple days in a row. I love their chicken soup and their fried chicken sandwich. They also have really good baguettes and fruit salads.
I got a cup of their creamy chicken soup and it was excellent! Chicken wasn’t dry, veggies weren’t over cooked and it was just salty enough! AND it was only $4. That was the most reasonably priced thing I’ve EVER seen in SLO! Atmosphere is a bit confusing and cluttered at the front. I would definitely suggest simplifying a bit. Staff was quick and friendly and obviously had good relationships with each other. Their pie is BOOOOMMBBB! Props y’all!!
Will preface by saying we order takeout from here often and it’s always fine (pricey but fine) but I just had a 3rd bad dining experience in a row so I will share it. 1st of 3 bad experiences we got two breakfast burritos that were literally all potato served with potatoes on the side. What? 2nd time got a Rueben sandwich special with a single thin slice of corned beef. Wasn’t even good, bread was totally soggy. Today I ordered the fried chicken sandwich which comes with a brassica salad. Says it on the menu. It arrives with a few chips. Went to the front to ask about the brassica salad and the guy was like “oh it comes with chips now”. Asked if I could have some coleslaw instead cause I see some in the deli case… He looked at me dumbfounded and shrugged his shoulders. I just walked away. Won’t be back.
