Rib Line Bbq - San Luis Obispo

CARTERING ...Horrible food.. never again.. NEVER TRIED THE RESTAURANT!!

I have very high standards when it comes to bbq and so far no place in SLO county has pleased my craving. Im a bbq lover and absolutely love to bbq and smoke meats every time I have a chance to do so but sometimes I have no time and just hungry. The way I order bbq from any place is unsauced and just dry rubbed because that is the only way to truly taste what they are serving. Well there is a reason why people like their sauced ribs/meats, because it hides the truth. This was the case with the beef ribs I ordered. Bland, absolutely no seasoning flavor and extremely charred. I even doubt they cook these over red oak like the norm here in the central coast, instead they tasted not anything better that oven baked burnt ribs. Exact same thing with the chicken I ordered the last time from here. Dry and flavorless. But hey maybe order it smothered in sauce to hide the true flavor of it.

The food was not bad actually one of the better dinners in a disappointing week but the service was a bit sloppy. Guy on the counter couldn't understand my accent and I had to repeat myself several times (some of these kids need to travel a bit get out of California). My pretty basic order also took longer than I was expecting, but all was forgiven when I started eating.

Went to get some burgers at the Switch but once there nothing really caught our attention so instead we ordered here. The tri-tip (8 oz) corn bread and fries as sides were enough for two adults and two little ones. The meat was chewy and only the crust was flavorful, the corn bread was fluffy and very pleasant, boys loved the fries as well, their BBQ sauce is really nice as well. The people behind the counters were pleasant and polite and the dining area was nicely presented and love the bench seating and tables.

Enjoyed the beef ribs during SLO's farmer's market on Thursday. Outstanding! The ribs were cooked perfectly, not tough. I loved the mac&cheese...I wish the order of the garlic bread was a bit bigger for $5 tho??! Delicious.
