Poke Chef - San Luis Obispo

I gave them a 5-star rating 11 months ago, but after a recent visit I had them on a 3. The service was not as nice, nor was the food as delicious. It wasn't a bad experience, just average.

Everything was quite solid except the fish itself. I ordered a 2 protein shell with salmon and Spicy Tuna. The salmon was okay, but okay. The tuna was disgusting. Super chewing and tricky, it was unusable. It was also extremely overpriced $15.50 for a small meal. I?ll give this place 1 star for good service and, besides the fish, solid ingredients (salat and imitation crab were good). But good Poke relies on good fish and good prices, of which this place did not have.

Personally, I think they have the best sushi burrito in the county my favorites is the hot cheetos on white rice pack) and I love this place on their good days. However, I always get avocado and 75% of the time its bad as dark gray mushy bad) and it feels in vain to pay extra and then they have to throw away. ?sometimes they easily go to the fish even with larger sizes. I wish I could give 5 stars as there is one of my favorite places, but if they change that, I will change my review! Your Pho is also good

The employee was very nice and professional. The freshness of seafood was questionable, even if I went in and ordered 5 minutes after the opening. The fish and the octopus were good warm and the octopus had an unusual, almost stingy taste as soon as he hit the tongue. The crab salad was very dry and it looked like the marinated ahi was marinated too long and the avocado was brown. I see a ton of good reviews of this place, so maybe I just came in on a free day.

Went there for lunch today and got their Spicy Tuna bowl. It was soooooo yummy!!! It was the perfect size to satiate my hunger. Even when I felt full, I wanted more cause it tasted so good!!
