Gardens Of Avila - San Luis Obispo

Every thing was wonderful. We decided to try a couple of their mocktails and both were delicious. The entrees were the star of the show, Ahi and Halibut. Absolutely delicious!! Highly recommended

Delicious food and beautiful environment for a romantic meal! I loved the cheese platter and Brussels sprouts I ordered. Had the chicken and risotto for my main. My companion had the salmon. Food was cooked to perfection!

Salmon, veggies polenta was PERFECT!!Went super well with a craft na beer big ice water ?The dining room is gorgeous perfectly setBuilding smells super musty but not as bad in dining room. Mold testing is needed they must have water damage somewhereService needs work! Super slow even tho almost no one there. Staff talking to each other goofing around rather than attending to customers.But I’d definitely give it another try since food and dining room is so yummy lovely.I’m already craving the salmon again!! Love the restaurant, love the setting, love the food, and love the service. Dana is awesome. HOWEVER... This was a night before Mother 's Day dinner with my wife, our son, and his wife. We had early (5:30) Open Table reservations and specifically requested quiet location . The host insisted on seating us IN THE BAR, RIGHT NEXT TO THE BAR AND SERVICE DOOR!!!!! When we asked about the main dining room, with all the windows that look out onto the Gardens of Avila , appropriate for the special occasion that was included in the reservation, he just said nah, that room is getting pretty filled . WHAT!!!!! BIG BUMMER! Still give them five stars but we 'll only return on a weeknight so we can sit where we prefer.

Going to this restaurant was an absolute magical time. My husband and I came here to celebrate our sixth wedding anniversary and 10 years together and it made us feel so special our waitress/bartender was absolutely a delight. I wish I could remember her name so that I can shout her out somebody needs to give this woman a raise, the food was impeccable. Also, we decided to eat outside which made the ambience that much more delightful. It was just warm enough outside with a nice breeze and seeing all the nature around us it was just absolutely amazing. I 10 out of 10 would recommend this place I definitely want to come back, thank you so much Gardens of Avila for making our anniversary this year one for the books!
