Gardens Of Avila - San Luis Obispo

The ambiance and service were fantastic. The filet mignon was excellent, while the halibut fell short of expectations—it didn’t have that melt-in-your-mouth quality I was hoping for. In fact, I had an amazing filet mignon, which made the halibut's shortcomings even more noticeable. Sometimes I wonder if the fish was previously frozen and not as fresh as it could be, but I'm not sure. Everything else was really delicious, and I would definitely return, though I’d stick to the filet mignon for a guaranteed delicious meal.

The pork chop was too dry, and the peach salad lacked flavor. It was very expensive for what we got. The food was disappointing and embarrassing. I’m really let down.

Great ambiance, fabulous service and delicious food!! Only thing that could have been better was the heater and the fireplace to be on but we didn't ask. We haven't been to Gardens of Avila in years and it reminded us that we definitely need to go more often.

My husband had the ribeye. Just ok. I had the warm beet salad. Not good at all. Beets weren’t even cooked. Do not recommend
