Oak Knoll Meat Deli - San Leandro

The restaurant is no longer open. A sign outside promised that sandwiches, burritos, and tortas are coming soon, but it was disheartening to arrive at an empty location after traveling such a long way. I had heard through Yelp that this deli previously served delicious sandwiches, which I was really looking forward to enjoying after a long day filled with appointments and errands. I chose Oak Knoll Meat Deli for a late lunch, only to be saddened to find it out of business. The store itself, which is still open to the public, looked outdated and somewhat unkempt. It's too far for me to want to return unless I happen to be in the area and desperate. Nearby businesses like FedEx and a pizza place offer free parking, but unfortunately, my experience here was disappointing.

Overall, I would say the experience was very good, but there is a downside: they have been inconsistent with their opening times. There have been a few occasions when they didn't open until almost 11 or even 11:30, despite their scheduled opening time of 10. They need to focus on sticking to their schedule. Aside from that, I’m really happy with the food and the service I receive once I do get it.
