Tortugas Hostal - San Juan del Sur

Beautiful view of Play El Coco from this beautiful hostel. Friendly service of the owner who felt welcome. However, you need to find better parking options. The narrow road is exceptionally steep and ends at a plateau with space for just a few vehicles, and hardly enough space to turn around. We look forward to more time there on our next trip to Nicaragua.

The place is amazing. Very nice, clean and well managed. The view is amazing. The only Donwsize is the steep slope you need to go to the square. I would recommend this place.

This is a new hostal with a magnificent pool with boulder integrated into it with views of Playa Coco for stunning sunset views. Icy cold, and I mean icy cold beer with a full service bar / restaurant. Breakfast free. A jewel of a place and very helpful staff. I'll be back next year.

If you take the chicken bus you ask the driver to stop at la escuela at Playa de coco. The hostel is a short steep walk away situated on top of the hill overlooking the coco bay. It's breath taking. The hostel is runned by a Nica woman who speaks English well and is super friendly. All facilities are clean and well maintained. Food is tasty and portions are decent due to the location a bit pricy for backpackers but well worth it. Make sure to bring a Moskito net.
