El Hornero - San Juan del Río

Great food, great atmosphere, great customer service, great and friendly owner. I was in town for business and decided to stop by for dinner. Grabbed a quick cab ride from the Hampton Inn and had a wonderful dinner. Highly recommend. Steak and wine, it doesn't get any better. The owner personally help with setting up transport back to the hotel. Great night.

Outside it might look not the best but as always it's inside that matters, food is great, beer and wine selection also very good, staff is friendly, highly recommend!

The service is excellent, the attention is perfect, the flavor is great and the place is amazing.This is NOT a big place... it is comfy, warm and nice. You will feel like home.I have uploaded some pictures of the menu and the place all together. If you go there for the first time, ask the manager or the waiter for some tips on what to order... The meat juice is a must to start...You will not regret visiting this place.

We visited this little restaurant for dinner. The owner and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We ate 3 different cuts of meat, they were all cooked to perfection. Chimmichuri sauce was so delicious. We also tried the cheese and spinach empanada. There was a live music too. Would highly recommend this place.

I had no expectation of excellent dining options in San Juan del Rio. It was wrong of me to assume, but I did, I admit it & I own it - though not proudly. I learned my lesson. Truly fine dining can be had in just about any location. The service is outstanding - attentive, yet relaxed. The food is far better than I can easily find at home in Houston.If you find yourself in San Juan del Rio, looking for a nice place to eat, this should be on your list.
